How do I become a member of the AVOHS?

You become a member of the AVOHS when you receive either the Gold Headed Cane Award or an Honorary AVOHS Diploma. There is no paid membership in the AVOHS.

What does the AVOHS do?

The mission of the American Veterinary One Health Society (AVOHS) is to advance the field of veterinary epidemiology and public health in the spirit of One Health through educational symposia and the recognition of leaders and students.

When does the AVOHS meet?

The AVOHS honorees meet at the annual meeting of the American Veterinary Medical Association, usually in July of each year. The purpose of the meeting is to disseminate information on the activities of the AVOHS and to recognize individuals for their accomplishments in epidemiology, public health and One Health.
