AVES Award Nomination Procedures

 

   Only former recipients of the K. F. Meyer / James H. Steele Gold-Headed Cane award are eligible to                                submit nominations to the AVES Executive Director.

 

1.    Any candidate for the Gold-Headed Cane Award must be a past recipient of an AVES Honorary Diploma to be eligible.

 

2.    Only one candidate for the Gold-Headed Cane Award and two candidates for the Honorary Diplomas will be accepted

       from each nominator.

 

3.    Nominations close at the end of March for that award year.

 

4.    A committee formed of Gold-Headed Cane awardees will make the final selection of all awards in late April of each year.

 

5.    A complete list of past AVES awardees can be browsed on this web site under “Awards”.

 

Nomination Packet--

 

*      Detailed cover letter by the nominator outlining why you feel that the candidate is deserving of the

        respective AVES award (Cane or Diploma).

*      Updated C.V. of the candidate.

*      High resolution (minimum 200 dpi) head shot photo JPG image of the nominee.

*      Additional letters of support are requested but not mandatory (not more than three).  

*      Send all nominations electronically to the Executive Director, Dr. John Poppe at:  aves.exec@outlook.com
