How do I become a member of the AVES?

You become a member of the AVES when you receive either the Gold Headed Cane Award or an Honorary AVES Diploma. There is no paid membership in the AVES.

 

What does the AVES do?

The mission of the American Veterinary Epidemiology Society (AVES) is to advance the field of veterinary epidemiology and public health in the spirit of One Health through educational symposia and the recognition of leaders and students.

 

When does the AVES meet?

The AVES honorees meet at the annual meeting of the American Veterinary Medical Association, usually in July of each year. The purpose of the meeting is to disseminate information on the activities of the AVES and to recognize individuals for their accomplishments in epidemiology, public health and One Health.
